'I find street photography intoxicating, a place where I lose myself, the only thought crossing my mind is the patterns of people crossing my path. When I'm shooting on the streets I am constantly scanning, watching and anticipating the movements of the crowd ready to fire off my shutter. I don't pretend that what I shoot is the full story, my photography is a construct of my mind and I consider each photo a self portrait.
'Wood Green is probably me at my most raw. As a child of the area, I feel a degree of protection about the place. Wood Green is an ever evolving location, with a population that has long roots dating back decades. I feel it's always at the cusp of changing; it certainly isn't the same place I grew up in as a child.'
